22/1/09 - CFExplorer 1.0 released!
The new version of CFExplorer (v1.0) is now ready and available. There are extra FileMaker 10 only features for editing your functions. Search fmfunctions.com as well as briandunning.com straight from CFExplorer and import any function. Also, sign up to the mailing list from inside CFExplorer.
There are plenty more little features and bug fixes. Try it. If you don't like it let me know what I can fix to make it better for you.
5/1/09 - FileMaker 10 released!
The current version of CFExplorer won't work with the new FileMaker 10 release, this is actually due to a bug with the version checking script. However, there are a few problems running CFExplorer in FileMaker 10 anyway so I can't just fix the version check and release it. A new version of CFExplorer will be released as soon as I've ironed out all the known bugs.
Happy new year!
4/12/08 - A couple of bugs have been pointed out
1. FileMaker has the ability to evaluate the following character ¶ as a carriage return even without it being enclosed in quotes "". However, when downloading a function from www.briandunning.com this character gets downloaded as a normal carriage return in the calculation. So if a function you download doesn't work check that any ¶ characters haven't been removed.
2. The CustomList function by Agnes Barouh also seems to trip up CFExplorer. I'm still investigating this, I think it's generating a memory error in one of CFExplorer's internal functions. CustomList is certainly an awesome function and I'm looking forward to getting it running on the next version of CFExplorer. (I've corrected the 2 cases of single ¶ characters in CustomList before looking for this second bug before people point that out) :)
Thanks to Ralph Lilienkamp for reporting the bugs, I'll keep you posted on the progress
11/11/08 - CFExplorer v0.1 released - this version was released to the TechNet conference on 23rd October 08. It is more stable than the original beta and the rough edges have been polished.
